What a year!!
- January of 2007 was a rough start with Steve having his colon removed after struggling with colitis since coming home from Iraq. It was a little scary! He was supposed to be in the hospital 3-5 days, it turned into 10. Let's just say morphine & percaset were not Steve's best friend.
- April 4 th at 4:44am came the arrival of our Tyler Max "Lightning McQueen" Peterson! He weighed 8lbs. 9 ounces and was 20 inches long. Libby gave him his middle name & of course Zack gave him his 2nd middle name. When he said it we laughed and he said, "I'm serious mom!" We love it!
- Tyler was only 2 weeks old when Steve went in for his second surgery to have his ileostomy bag removed. Yeah! Steve had a rough day or so, but this surgery went much better.
- Grandma Giles passed away during this last surgery and her funeral was the same day Steve came home from the hospital. We miss you Grandma!
- This summer was fun because Libby & Zack both learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels! One of our favorite activities this summer was going on bike rides at the park and then stopping at The Snow Shack for a treat!
- Liberty started First Grade this August! This was a little harder for me & Zack than Kindergarten because now she's gone all day!
- In October we were able to take a vacation to Florida. We had a lot of fun at Walt Disney World! We also drove to the beach one day. This was the first time for the kids to see the ocean! It was beautiful and fun to play in the waves.
- This year ended with a really nice holiday season. It was one of those years I didn't want it to end....It was wonderful! We were so blessed this year to have such wonderful family and friends that were SO helpful and kind with all of our stress at the beginning of the year. THANK YOU & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
