Celebrating Sophie Turning "TW0"...

I've never seen someone so young SO excited for her birthday!  She talked about it for weeks.

  She'd say, My "irthday" party they sing cha-cha -cha & then she'd pretend to blow out a candle.  

She wanted a "Dora" cake, of course!

Then when her birthday came around...she was so sick!  

She started throwing up Wednesday night. 

 It was her first time throwing up & it scared her!  It was so sad.  

By Thursday she had thrown up 10 times!  

Then by her birthday on Friday she wouldn't eat or drink because she said, "I frow-up again."  She is too smart for her own good sometimes!  

The bad part was I was afraid we would end up in the hospital with IV's from dehydration for her birthday.  Luckily, we got her to drink enough, but she would not eat ANYTHING!  

Shelly brought us lunch & a much needed diet coke for me!  :)

Then she had Sophie open one of her gifts...

She opened them & said, "I love it Mom!"  

She is our shoe girl!!

Then she fell asleep that night about 7:00pm, so we really didn't celebrate.

  Zack put together her Dora bike & we wrapped her presents for the next morning, but she woke up at 10:00pm, so we celebrated late!

 She loves her Dora bike & microphone!

 The little stinker didn't go back to bed until 1:30am...I was about to drop from exhaustion myself.  

I hadn't slept for 2 nights & had been a nervous wreck about her getting dehydrated.

Even with how sick she was, she was so sweet. 

 I was trying to get her to eat & drink.  When I'd ask her if  she wanted a drink she'd reply, "no thanks."

"Do you want a cracker?" Her reply was "no thanks."  

I adore this girl!!

Then came Sunday & we took her Dora cake to my parent's house for dinner.

She was SO excited!

  She freaked out when she saw the cake!

She was in Heaven!!

She couldn't stop smiling!

 We sang to her & she blew out her candles...just like she had practiced!

Then she opened her presents...let's just say it seemed more like Christmas!  

She was very spoiled, but I think her favorite gift was...

Sophie Turns "2"...

It is so hard to believe that just two years ago on April 26, 2011...

Our sweet little Sophie Lee was born!

Oh, how we LOVE this little girl!  

She brings so much joy to our family!!

Looking back through older pictures it's amazing how much she has grown...

 This was her "1st" birthday...she was so stinkin cute!!

 

She is always dressed up in something!

 It's hard to believe this was only 8 months ago...time is going by fast!!

A few things about Sophie....

-She is a true "PRINCESS"!  

She even sleeps with her Tu-Tu & crown!
-She loves to shop...

 She always gets my credit cards out of my purse!

 -She has a great imagination...

I love watching her play!

-She is obsessed with Dora & stickers!

She can even count to six in Spanish!

-She has a huge love for SHOES!

She always has to try them on! 

-She LOVES music!  

She'll hear one beat from a song & start screaming if it's her favorite.  

Her favorites are: 

  "Whoa-Whoa!" (Springsteen by Eric Church)  "I Do!" (Begin Again by Taylor Swift)

"Try-Try!" (By Pink) & "Truck Ya!" (By Tim McGraw) 

-She talks so much! 

 It's so cute, but my nerves are sometimes fried by the end of the day from the constant chatter! :) 

She repeats EVERYTHING!

-She is a PICKY eater!  

She'll eat any fruit, mac & cheese & treats.  It is very frustrating trying to get her to eat milk & meat!

-She is a bundle of constant energy!

We love her SO MUCH! 

 When I tell her that she repeats, "SO MUCH!" and gives me a hug...it melts my heart!

-She loves to walk around with Pikachu on her shoulder...

-When you ask her who her best friend is? 

She says, "bibby!" (Libby) 

She also adores her brothers...

She can't wait to get Ty-Ty from school everyday!

Zack is so sweet with her!  

And we can't forget her other best friend...

Steve Turns The Big "40"...

It's hard to believe that just "40" years ago on April 10, 1973....

Steve was born!!

We had a lot of fun teasing & celebrating this momentous birthday!!
The celebrating started the Sunday before the big day at my parent's house...

We made him this "special" cake!

He may have dropped a tear or two...

It's not easy getting OLD!
Then the next day, we celebrated with his parents & had dinner.

 It was also a fun night!

He requested "Death By Chocolate" for dessert!

Then on Wednesday the big day arrived!
Liberty was my partner in crime & she helped me with posters & balloons!

 He woke up to some black balloons & a new cane!

 We sent him off to work with some treats to share!

Then when he got outside...

  He was surprised or maybe it was "embarrassed" to see more decorations!

Libby made this cute sign!

 Then she helped me with a few more!

Then that night we went to Texas Roadhouse...

Of course, we had to get a picture on the saddle!

It was a fun night!

We all had a good time!
