Sophie's Birthday Party...

We celebrated her birthday some more on Sunday at my parent's house.

We brought cupcakes!

She was so excited...it was so cute!!

We sang to you...

You weren't quite sure what to think of that!

 Then Libby handed you your cupcake...

 You started slowly & took a bite...

 You liked it...

You decided to take matters into your own hands!

You were on a mission!

 You would say, "mmm" in between bites!!

 It was a mess...

But, you enjoyed every bite!

Everyone spoiled you, but your favorite gift was...

A Ball!  

When you woke up this morning, the first thing you said was, "ball"!  

I Still can't believe you are already ONE!!

A little bit about you at this age...

-You LOVE your pink blanket...whenever you see it you get so excited & then you squeeze it & put your head against it!

-You can say, "dank you" (thank you), ball, Da-Da, Ma-ma, uh-oh & Wow!

-You make the silliest faces...everywhere we go people stop & comment about how funny & cute you are!
-Your nick-names are Sophie-wofie, Gingy (Aunt Sherry gave you this because of  your red hair!),
Little Lady & Sopapillia.

-You get into everything!  We even had to add a second gate at the bottom of the stairs because you are so fast!

-You make everyone around you so happy!!  You truly are a gift from above!  I'm so thankful you came to our family!!

We LOVE you so much!!

Celebrating Sophie's 1st Birthday....

Her brother's surprised her with a "Happy Birthday" sign in the driveway...

They made it with their sidewalk chalk!

They sure love her!!

Then Libby asked where we were going for Sophie's birthday dinner?  I said, I don't know she doesn't really love anything in particular.  Then Libby said, " I know, we could go to Chuck-a-Rama so she could pick whatever she wants!"  My kids love that place...so that is where we went!

Sophie did enjoy her dinner!

Sophie decided to try my strawberry shortcake...she loved it!

Until she put her hand in the ice cream...it was a little too cold!!

Then Shelly made her feel better & was singing to her...it was so cute because she would hum along!

It's easy to make her happy again...Grandma made her really happy when she opened her present!

She actually said, "Wow!" It was so cute!

It's hard to believe you are already one!

One thing is for sure...some things never change.

We all still ADORE you!!

We had a wonderful Easter!

On Easter Sunday, Our church started at 9:00am. We are not "early birds", so this took some planning the night before to try to get there on time.

The kids had to be ready for church before they could go down & find their Easter baskets.
