Reflections Contest...

Libby was chosen as one of the winners in the Reflections Contest this year!

She was one of the winners in the Visual Arts category.

The theme was "The Magic of a Moment..."

She titled her drawing "Sunrise...Sunset...Every day is a gift!"

On January 3, 2013 they had an awards ceremony at the Jr. High.

New Year's Eve 2012

It's hard to believe it's 2013!

All day I kept talking with my mom & sisters about what we should do that night for New Year's Eve...then we decided to just not do anything. Then my kids changed my mind!

Our New Year's Eve turned out pretty good for not having any plans until about 6:00 that night.

We had pizza & treats, the kids played rock band while we watched the movie "New Year's Eve"!

The night went by fast this year & all of a sudden it was time to get ready for the count down!

I got the sparklers ready...

Sherry & Alayna got their coats on...

So did my mom...

Sophie got on her pajamas...

She had a late nap & was still up partying at midnight, pretty good for only being "1"!

Then we counted down & headed outside...

In the FREEZING cold!

ARRIVED!!

Then as tradition if there is a sled hill out front, my kids go sledding!

Even after midnight, Sophie was up and ready to make a few phone calls to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Wrapping up 2012

It's hard to believe it's already a new year!

A few more things that happened in 2012...

Tyler lost his first tooth in November!

It happened at church, while he was chewing some gum!

He was very excited!

Then Tyler didn't pass the eye test at school, so we had to get his eyes tested.
He was SO excited to get glasses because then he'd be like Harry Potter!

He actually would wear this outfit everyday for a while!

We made his Hogwarts robe out of one of Steve's shirts!
He didn't actually need glasses yet & was so sad that got him a pair with just the lenses...

He does look pretty cute with glasses!

He is one goofy boy!

Libby did actually get new glasses...

She loves her new ones. It looks like big glasses are back in style!
She looks adorable!!

Steve took the kids ice skating one Saturday afternoon...

They really love this!

It looks like Tyler is getting better at it!

It's one of Libby's favorite things to do!

Libby tried volleyball this year and loved it!

She has a great serve!

She also started dance in August & really enjoys it...

This was a little performance for Christmas.

We were invited to the last 15 minutes of their class & they showed us a few of the dances they had been working on.

Zack started Jr. Jazz in December too...

He loves it & even made a basket at his last game!
Personally, I LOVE volleyball & basketball because they are indoors! I don't have to roast in the sun or freeze in the cold while watching my kids...Let's hope they stick with these sports! ;)
