Zack's 5th Grade Program...

Zack had his 5th grade program, it was great!
It is the "America" program and they go through all of the decades in history.
His part was during World War II...His part was about Grandpa Steen.
"I was born in Norway in 1941, the first few years of my life were during World War II.  German soldiers had occupied our town.  One time, my dad found a bomb fragment had hit our house and broken one of our windows.  At the end of the war, the people in my neighborhood brought sugar sandwiches to the Russian Prisoners of war.  The sandwiches consisted of white bread, spread with butter and sugar sprinkled on top."
Norman Steen, grandfather of Zack Peterson

He also had a part where they danced the Charleston....

He was also selected to play the xylophone in the finale...

We left the program feeling grateful for all of those in the past & present who make America the country it is!
Sophie enjoyed the program!
Sophie wanted a picture with Noah & Zack...
These two boys have been best friends since Kindergarten...
It's hard to believe they are already in 5th grade!
