October Birthdays...

We celebrated with my dad on October 26th.

I love this birthday group...we were missing John.  He was at work, but he's "19" this year!

Then my birthday was on October 28th.

We went to Spaghetti Factory...

Harry Potter Halloween Party...

Zack never got to have a "friend" party for his birthday, so we decided to invite a few friends & have a Harry Potter/Halloween Party!

We used the same posters from Libby's party a few years ago.

They had so much fun!

They started by taking a quiz to see what "House" they belong to.

Then they each had a turn to try on the sorting hat, which told them the answer.

Then they moved to the "Great Hall" for dinner...

 

Next, they moved on to "Diagon Alley"

  

Then it was time for the wand choosing...

  

Then they actually made their own wands.

 

 Then it was "potions" class...

This is always a favorite!

Then we did a fun gift exchange to test their luck.

I love that my kids have such great friends!

I also think it's fun that this group all has something in common...A LOVE for Harry Potter!

Pinewood Derby 2013

We had a weekend's notice this year for the Pinewood Derby & we didn't have one night to build a car!
Zack used his car from last year.

It did great, he placed 4th over all!

It's always a fun night!

First Grade Field Trip...Cornbelly's

I was able to help Tyler's class on their field trip to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point.

We had a fun day...

It was such a fun day...I LOVE this kid!!

Gardner Village...

This has become a fun tradition to go see the witches over UEA weekend.
