Happy Birthday Steve!!

Happy Birthday tomorrow, April 10th!

Since you are turning 36....I'm going to post 36 things I love about you!

You can always make me laugh.
You made me a mother of 3 beautiful children!
You are such a cute dad!!
You love to teach our kids new things (like skiing this year).
You are adventurous & make me try new things.
You are a handyman....you amaze me with all you can do...sprinklers, tile, putting in new lights & switches, wall board,etc.
I'm thankful for your computer skills!
I love that you can sell anything....
I love that you're not a complainer....You just do what you have to do!
You are a people person....I love that you're not shy like me.
I admire your strength of not worrying too much...I really need someone like that in my life!
I love that you are ambitious & keep trying to learn new things.
I'm glad we share the same joy of eating out.
I love that you are a hard worker....you always make sure we are well taken care of!
You love to give....you'd help anybody.
You are fun & know how to have a good time!
You love to surprise me & the kids whether it's Christmas or my favorite was when you upgraded the Tim McGraw tickets for our anniversary...how fun was that?!
I love your built in GPS....wherever we go you can find places & drive on any freeway in any state!
I love that we are such a close family & LOVE to spend time together!
I admire your love for hobbies....skiing, boating, wake-boarding, rollerblading, golf, mountain biking, I think you can do most things!
I'm glad you are a goal setter. It's fun to see the ones that you wrote after your mission...you have accomplished a lot of them!
I love that you are a night owl like me.
I'm so glad that you'll go to concerts with me!
I love that when you give me flowers they are beautiful wild flowers!
I'm glad we both like our house & yard nice....
I love that you are a goofball at times!
This is a funny one, but I love your eyelashes when they are wet....they look so long!
I loved our days of country dancing...still one of my favorite memories of dating!

I'm glad you take care of the bills...especially dealing with the medical insurance stuff!
It's so fun to play games with you...competing on the wii, Guitar hero, skip-bo, rummikub. If you add Shelly & John to the mix...I'm guaranteed a laugh attack!!
I love that you'll get just as hooked on different tv shows & watch them with me!
I love that you when we are looking to buy something new, you'll research & find a good deal!
I love that you have a spunky personality...you are never boring!
I'm so grateful you are still here for your 36th birthday....there have been a few times I was afraid of losing you between Iraq & your health since then, but those experiences have taught me that it is such a gift to have each other!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!!!

Our Tyler Max "Lightning McQueen" Peterson

Turned 2 today!!

He was born April 4, 2007 at 4:44am
He came out fiesty & is just now finally calming down.
This kid never needed sleep!!
So far I'm loving the "terrible two's" because he is so funny & finally takes an hour nap each day!!

Zack wanted to name him Lightning McQueen.... when we laughed ,
he said, "I'm serious mom!" It's so funny because now Tyler is OBSESSED with Lightning McQueen. He has one in his hand at all times even when he sleeps!!

Libby gave Tyler his middle name... Max & we love it!

He is talking so much lately & it's always something so funny.
Like today, I would say, "Happy Birthday Tyler!" and his response was "Happy Birthday mom!"
The other night we were getting ready for bed and he yells out, "I'm cute mom!"
(I must say that a lot!)
Steve has taught him a few great phrases too...
It started with "no way, daddy!" then today he was saying, "no way, Jose!"
He is one spunky & sweet kid and we love him so much!!

Getting ready to open presents....notice the Christmas wrapping paper. It was a left over present from Christmas that he wouldn't open after he got his drum set, so we saved it for his birthday! It was a car set & he played with it for the next 2 hours!!

A few of the cute things my kids have said lately....

Libby:
She will be turning 8 in July so a few fast Sunday's ago she decided to try and fast. It didn't go very well, she didn't feel good and was a little grumpy when we got home from church. So I told her not to worry because it takes practice (I'm still working on that one!) . Last week she was really sick with strep throat and didn't eat anything until dinner time and she was so cute and said, "I should be sick every fast Sunday....I don't eat breakfast or lunch, just dinner!"

Zack:
This morning they were getting ready for school and they were talking about how when I was pregnant with Tyler they both wanted it to be a girl. Then Libby said to Zack, "Even you wanted it to be a baby girl , Why?" He replied, "So you'd be happy!" He really is a sweet brother!!

Tyler:
His new favorite phrase is "Watch this, ma-ma!" and then he'll do something funny. This morning after the kids went to school he was playing by the dog and he'd yell out, "Watch this, Mick!" and he'd show the dog a special trick. It's ironic because just the other day he'd say, "Mick, monster beast"! One of our other favorites is when he says, "What the heck?" and he'll put his little hands to his sides.

I really do love how kids think!!

Mickey's Had a REALLY "Ruff" Week

His bad luck started on Saturday when he got run over by a jeep that was speeding through the neighborhood. When Steve yelled at her to slow down she said, "I was only going 35mph!" Well, that's ten over in a residential area....her stupidity didn't stop there. Then she had the nerve to drive off without even apologizing or asking if the dog was even Ok. Well being the "Kujo" dog that he is....no broken bone, just 10 stitches & a small fortune for us to pay. Poor dog, all of this happened on his 1st birthday!

Then today we had an appointment for a LONG overdue grooming appointment. He was so matted no amount of combing could fix it. We knew it wouldn't be easy to fix. It definitely was rough....he clawed the groomer, had to be sedated for them to finish his appointment & then left with 3 more stitches in his neck, looking like a chiuaua. The razor nicked him pretty good!! He is alive after another big bill for us to pay. We hope this is the end of his bad luck....it is starting to cost too much!
