A few of the cute things my kids have said lately....

Libby:
She will be turning 8 in July so a few fast Sunday's ago she decided to try and fast. It didn't go very well, she didn't feel good and was a little grumpy when we got home from church. So I told her not to worry because it takes practice (I'm still working on that one!) . Last week she was really sick with strep throat and didn't eat anything until dinner time and she was so cute and said, "I should be sick every fast Sunday....I don't eat breakfast or lunch, just dinner!"

Zack:
This morning they were getting ready for school and they were talking about how when I was pregnant with Tyler they both wanted it to be a girl. Then Libby said to Zack, "Even you wanted it to be a baby girl , Why?" He replied, "So you'd be happy!" He really is a sweet brother!!

Tyler:
His new favorite phrase is "Watch this, ma-ma!" and then he'll do something funny. This morning after the kids went to school he was playing by the dog and he'd yell out, "Watch this, Mick!" and he'd show the dog a special trick. It's ironic because just the other day he'd say, "Mick, monster beast"! One of our other favorites is when he says, "What the heck?" and he'll put his little hands to his sides.

I really do love how kids think!!

Mickey's Had a REALLY "Ruff" Week

His bad luck started on Saturday when he got run over by a jeep that was speeding through the neighborhood. When Steve yelled at her to slow down she said, "I was only going 35mph!" Well, that's ten over in a residential area....her stupidity didn't stop there. Then she had the nerve to drive off without even apologizing or asking if the dog was even Ok. Well being the "Kujo" dog that he is....no broken bone, just 10 stitches & a small fortune for us to pay. Poor dog, all of this happened on his 1st birthday!

Then today we had an appointment for a LONG overdue grooming appointment. He was so matted no amount of combing could fix it. We knew it wouldn't be easy to fix. It definitely was rough....he clawed the groomer, had to be sedated for them to finish his appointment & then left with 3 more stitches in his neck, looking like a chiuaua. The razor nicked him pretty good!! He is alive after another big bill for us to pay. We hope this is the end of his bad luck....it is starting to cost too much!

Mickey "D" BEFORE his bad luck....

Looking more like a mop.

And now...

Looking more like a Chiuaua

The kids still love him though!!

Tyler is at a stage I LOVE!!

He is getting so funny & talking so much. Since I don't scrapbook anymore I have to list some of the words he is saying somewhere...so here we go. Here are my favorites.

  • He can say everyone's name now. I especially love how he says "Sheery".
  • On Sunday he was playing with his cousin Mitchell and they would yell out, "run away, run away" and dart down the hall.
  • He loves the movie Cars. One day he brought me the car Doc & said "Pa-Pa idiot". I told him that wasn't very nice and later that day in the movie Lightning McQueen says that about Doc...He calls him a grandpa and an idiot. So now we know why he calls that car Pa-Pa.
  • He says, "Lightning Queen"(his favorite car), "mater" and "saee" for Sally.
  • I love it when he says, "hold me pease."
  • He says Please (pease) and "thank you"
  • The other day the kids were playing bowling on the Wii and he said, "nice spare".
  • Any time he hears a horn honk he yells, "gamma" because he thinks she's here to pick us up.
  • He has a little dog he calls "gi-gi" and this morning he was playing and I heard him say, "sit boy".
  • I'll ask him if his diaper is stinky and he'll say, "no fresh".
  • If I'm talking on the phone he'll run over and say "hewo" over and over until he gets to talk.
  • When he's starting to get tired he'll say, "night-night".
  • His latest...."No way, Daddy!!"
  • And our favorite....I luv you!!
We don't know where this little spunky guy came from, but we sure do love him!
I believe he thinks he's Libby & Zack's age. He'll tag along with them everywhere they'll let him.

He thinks everything is a toy he can ride on....he says,"giddy-up" too.

That is a scooter for Libby's doll & he is always driving it around....
hopefully it doesn't break one of these days!

His smile makes us all smile!! We love you Ty Man!!

Fun Weekend

Friday afternoon we got to go through the new Draper Temple.

Zack, Libby & Tyler

After the tour ....they got cookies and water.
Tyler was very excited about his little water bottle.

They were so cute and good today!
Libby wrote in her journal that she had the greatest day of her life so far because she got to go to the temple. Tyler says, "bus" & "temple" now....very cute! Zack made me laugh when we were on the tour and I asked him if he saw the animal paintings on the wall & he said, "I already saw it in the pamphlet". He was looking at that while we were walking through the tour. We had a fun day & ended it with dinner and a trip to Walmart to get 2 more fish....hopefully these ones live!

Saturday turned into another ski day for Zack & Libby & Steve....

Steve & Zack on the lift.

Libby all on her own....what a brave kid!

Zack & Libby wanted to ride together.....

I love that they are such good friends!!

They can now both ski on their own now. No harness needed....I'm so impressed!!
I didn't even try skiing until I was 21!!
