Our Zack can't already be starting kindergarten??
Time flies....

Zack is such a great kid! He was born while Steve was in Iraq, so for a little while his nickname was Zacky, "The Iraqi". He has been such a sweet boy from the start. He has given his mom a few scares though.
When he was a week old he was hospitalized for a few days because they thought his temperature could be caused by meningitis. He had to have 2 spinal taps & was given antibiotics. Luckily it was just viral & he was ok.

You can see the IV mark in his hand.

Then when he was three months old he had to have surgery on his head because his soft spot closed up too soon. They took out a bone in his forehead & made slits in the back of his skull. He now has a scar that goes from ear to ear on his head. He was so strong & brave & recovered quickly. Which I was glad for because the army wouldn't let Steve come home for the surgery.

Just a week later & he was all smiles...we love those dimples!!

As you can see he was my HAPPY baby!!




He still is a happy kid with a great heart, who always thinks of others!!

But it's lucky he has a sweet side....




His kisses are cherished, because he won't always give them out!!

It looks like we need to get him groomed!!
The Vet told Steve at his last appointment that these kind of dogs like to be groomed.
I think it's time!!

My Dad's New Harley....

So My dad has been looking into buying a Harley Motorcycle to go on road trips with some of his friends....quite a few of us were trying to talk him out of it for safety reasons & then when my mom said she wouldn't ride on it he came home with this instead....

Last night my dad and the kids went for a ride & when My dad asked if they wanted an ice cream cone Zack replied, "Well Snow Shack is open & it's real close." You gotta love grandpa's!! It was a great night until...
We were responsible for the first dent. We have been painting our trim & Steve was up the roof pulling down tape. He had a wood block up on the roof and his foot knocked it off & it landed right onto the hood. We were just glad it wasn't Steve falling off the roof (that would have made a much bigger dent too). I still feel bad....even after your kids have grown up & moved away they are still the ones keeping you from having anything nice!! Thank goodness you really have to look closely to see the dent, but I still feel bad! But thanks for the fun night! We also LOVE your new Harley!!
