Sophie's Birthday Party...

We still have no kitchen, so we celebrated Sophie's birthday at my parent's on Easter Sunday.
I love this age...she gets so excited for birthdays!
She was so surprised when she walked in and saw this...
Thanks Sherry!
She was able to take the display from her store...it was quite the surprise!
She kept hugging it!
Your cake was a princess Sophia castle!

Happy Birthday, Sophie!!
We Love You!

Happy "3rd" Birthday Sophie...

I really can't believe my baby is three!
I'll admit, when I was putting her to bed last night, I got a few tears in my eye.
Time is going by so fast...my kids are all getting so big!
Sophie brings so much happiness to our lives!
We all adore you!
You are at such a fun age, you like to pretend play.
I never know what princess you will be in the morning!
You are also such a great helper!  You are my little shadow all day long!
You help me fold clothes, decorate or anything else I'm working on!
You are growing so fast, I can't believe how little you look in these pictures!

A few things about you now that you are THREE:
-You love music!  You know the words to all kinds of songs!
-You love the movie Frozen & know all of the lines.  You are always Anna & you make Libby be Elsa.  On Friday, I told you to wake her up & Libby said you came to the side of the bed and kept repeating, "Psst, Elsa wake up! Do you want to build a snowman?"  Then we could here you on the other side of the bathroom door singing, "I know you're in there..."  It was hilarious!!
-You love Princess Sophia & were in shock when you got to meet her in Disneyland...
You actually got to walk her to her lessons, it was awesome!
-Your other favorite toys are Doc McStuffin, barbies, your Dr. kit and dressing up!
-You love to spell your name...
I wrote your name in the sand on the beach and you hopped to every letter spelling your name for about an hour!  It was so cute!!
-You can be a little stubborn at times, this is making potty training difficult!  You are my first kid to be three and not be trained.  We've tried a few times, but now we are taking a little break because you say things like, "Diapers are great!"  When I ask you if you want to try?  You say, "No!"  I'm hoping this attitude doesn't last too long!
-Most important you make us smile everyday & we are so lucky you are in our family!!
Happy Birthday Sophie!!!

Easter Egg Hunt...

My mom is amazing!
She spends days preparing for the grandkids Easter Egg Hunt.
Each kid gets 7 eggs with their name on them & their hidden throughout her big yard.
She also hides a few toys for them too.
This years hit was hula hoops!
It's a dangerous job taking pictures...
Look at all those hula hoops coming at me!
These girls are a little more sweet...
A few more crazy's...
I do love this crazy family!
One things for sure, it's never boring around here.
Happy Easter!!

Zack's 5th Grade Program...

Zack had his 5th grade program, it was great!
It is the "America" program and they go through all of the decades in history.
His part was during World War II...His part was about Grandpa Steen.
"I was born in Norway in 1941, the first few years of my life were during World War II.  German soldiers had occupied our town.  One time, my dad found a bomb fragment had hit our house and broken one of our windows.  At the end of the war, the people in my neighborhood brought sugar sandwiches to the Russian Prisoners of war.  The sandwiches consisted of white bread, spread with butter and sugar sprinkled on top."
Norman Steen, grandfather of Zack Peterson

He also had a part where they danced the Charleston....

He was also selected to play the xylophone in the finale...

We left the program feeling grateful for all of those in the past & present who make America the country it is!
Sophie enjoyed the program!
Sophie wanted a picture with Noah & Zack...
These two boys have been best friends since Kindergarten...
It's hard to believe they are already in 5th grade!
