First Day Of School 2013-2014

We actually had a few "first" days this year!

 Libby had an orientation day for 7th graders the Thursday before school actually started.

She went for a half day.

Here was the first day of Jr. High...August 19, 2013

I can't believe she is in 7th grade!

 We had to show her whole outfit...she looked adorable!

Zack's first day of 5th grade...August 19,2013

 He was looking sharp!

 I can't believe he'll be in Jr. High next year!

 Tyler started 1st grade on August 20, 2013...

 I can't believe he'll be at school ALL day!

He's glad he gets to go with Zack, it's their last year together at the same school.

Even though it felt like our summer got cut short by a whole week, my kids are all having a great year so far!

Alan Jackson!

What a fun night!!!

I've been listening to most of his songs since before high school!

It was so fun to sing & dance along.

Sarah Darling opened the show & she had a beautiful voice...

 Then Alan came out and put on a great show...

 He was so easy going, he and his band are very talented!

 I'm so glad to have finally seen him in concert!

We knew every song!!

 It was so fun!
We only have one concert left...LUKE BRYAN!  I can't wait!

Hiking Fun...

A few weekends ago,  we took a family hike to Cecret Lake, which is up above Alta.

It was a lot of fun!

We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place!

The kids did a great job!

This little cutey walked most of the way herself!

She did fall down once on the way down & got some scratches on her knees. :(

It's a pretty easy hike, but the hardest part is at the end.

Then up at the top is the lake!

Brad Paisley!!

I have never seen him in concert before...it was awesome!

He actually walked right behind us...

I was giddy!!

 I love how he interacts with the crowd.

He also had two artists I love for his opening act...

 Lee Brice!

 He was a lot of fun!

Then Chris Young...

 He also has so many fun songs!

 But, Brad definitely knows how to entertain!

We had so much fun!

It was definitely one of the best concerts we've been too!

I love going with my crazy concert buddy!

It was definitely another fun night!

Bear Lake

Steve had Boy Scout camp in Bear Lake this year, so we decided to go up for a few days during the middle of the week.

We had so much fun!

Steve took the scouts up on Monday & I followed my parents & Sherry up the next day to camp at the KOA.  

We had SO MUCH fun!

I took way to many pictures, but I love to document things for my blog book :)

So here is a picture OVERLOAD...

 The campground was great, not only did it have flushing toilets & showers...it had a miniature golf course!

 The kids had a lot of fun playing...

 They were pretty good...even in the dark!

It also had a swimming pool & hay rides!

Once was enough, but it was still fun!

Jazzy & Zack tried out the horse shoes...

But mostly it was just fun to hang out with people I love...

 Sat around & talked...

Basically, we relaxed!

Sophie loved having her aunt "Sher-a" there...

They were twins with their glasses.

Sophie has always LOVED to wear glasses!

Bear Lake is such a cute little town...

We also had to get a famous raspberry shake!!

It was a cute little shake shop...

 He & Zack REALLY enjoyed their treat...

 Sophie liked her ice cream cone too!

 I see why they are famous...pretty tasty!!

Then on our last day we finally made it to the beach...

The water was low, so we got in a good walk through the sand!
It was worth the walk...It was so fun!

They turned Jasmine into a mermaid.

It was the perfect beach for the kids because it stayed shallow for a long ways out.

Grandma enjoyed the view under the umbrella.

 

These two girls are growing up too fast!

Love these kids & it was so fun to hear their constant giggles....it's what every childhood should consist of!
