Skiing Fun...

Now that it is spring, I thought I would catch up on a few skiing pictures.
Libby only got to go once this year because she had to wait for her chin to completely heal before the Dr. would let her.
This year the kids & Steve went skiing at Brighton & they loved it!
Libby, Tyler & Zack

As you can see Tyler mastered it this year & no longer needs the harness....he's moved on to skiing with poles!
Miss Liberty...finally got to go! She was very happy!

The boys had gone a few times with Steve...
It's nice because the lift at Brighton can hold all 3 of them. Here is Tyler learning how, you can see the harness...by the next time he had figured it out!

And a few more pictures...

Their favorite part...warming up with some hot cocoa.I'm glad these guys are such good friends!!

Liberty's 5th Grade Program

At the end of March, Libby performed in the 5th grade program at school!
It was a Patriotic Program & they have been practicing a lot for this!!

She had a lot of fun & had a speaking part with Jasmine about their Grandpa Steen.
This is what they said,
"I was born in Norway in 1941. The first few years of my life were during WWII. German Soldiers had occupied our town. I remember once, my Dad found a bomb fragment that had hit our house & broken one of our windows. The bomb had exploded several miles away on ammunition ships in the harbor. After the war people in our neighborhood took sugar sandwiches to feed the Russian prisoners of war. The sandwiches consisted of white bread, spread with butter, and sugar sprinkled on top.

They both did a great job!

Then she got to dance the "50's" Swing in a poodle skirt!
She loved this!
And had been practicing for weeks...usually in the kitchen!

Then we got a few pictures with her best friends...
These girls are so sweet!

Then we had to get a picture with one of her biggest "fans"!
Libby & Tyler

It was a great performance & now we have to get a picture with Libby, Jasmine & Grandpa! He had to leave at the end for a dental appointment.
Good Job, Libby & Jasmine!!

A Few Things About Zack...

Zack's 3rd Grade Program was a few weeks ago.
It was all about space & it was great!

We were proud of him because he got to play the xylophone for one of the songs.
He had to try out for this part & for the audition he had to play the song on the piano. He got the part & even got to play the solo at the end! He did great!

They sang such fun & peppy songs...this was a fun song that they performed using sticks.

It was a wonderful program!

Here is a video of him singing his "favorite" song...Here Comes the Sun.
(The video wasn't loading right...I'll try again!)
Now we know why he wanted to learn this song for piano! His piano teacher was shocked when he mastered the song in 2 weeks.

He's also been working really hard in Cub Scouts.
He earned his Bobcat & received it at the Blue & Gold Banquet last week!
Here he is putting the pin on me.
He was suppose to put it on upside down & then when he does a "good turn" or something nice, we turn it the right way.
Not Zack...the pin!

They also had a cake decorating competition.
Since he loves space, he decorated his with the planets!
It was a fun night & did I mention...We love this kid!!
