Gordon Bitner Hinckley

June 23, 1910 - January 27, 2008

This next video clip was such a sweet honor to our wonderful prophet! I couldn't agree with him more! What an awesome example our prophet was to the whole world. Everything said about President Hinckley was positive. Everyone remembers him as sweet, loving & funny. He will always hold a special place in my heart!

Our Dennis The Menace

My little Tyler has not been feeling well for over a week. He has had just about everything....stomach troubles, fever, a sore throat and he is teething. He had me worried this time with how pale & sick he was acting, but to my surprise he still doesn't require sleep!!! The kid must have some sort of super human power who's body doesn't require sleep. He can literally go on a 15 min. nap for the WHOLE Day & he still gets up twice a night!

Well, I knew he must be feeling better yesterday when I realized it seemed kind of quiet and I wasn't sure where he had crawled off to. When I found him it was a flashback from when Zack was this age! Where was he you might ask? Of course in the bathroom, by the toilet with the WHOLE roll of toilet paper surrounding him on the floor! I couldn't help but laugh at the cute sight with his mischieveous grin that shows both his bottom teeth! This kid is quite the handful & is literally wearing me out! But we just can't help but love Our Little Dennis The Menace!!! We are so glad you are finally feeling a little better Tyler!!!!

Luckily he wasn't in the toilet!!

This is a picture of one of his cute grins....the kid does make us smile!

Night Skiing at Snowbird

Zack finally got to use those skis on a "real" mountain! We went last Saturday night. I hadn't been skiing since before Libby was born & have only been like 3 times in my life, so I was a little nervous to help the kids and they they were a little nervous to have me help them. They can smell your fear! They just wanted to go down the hill with their dad (smart kids I might add). Finally I got up my nerves and did a run on my own....I know it's just the bunny hill, but I wasn't sure if I remembered how to stop. Well it comes back to you like riding a bike! We had a lot of fun! We only thought I broke Zack's leg once when he fell down in my care. I think I pulled back too hard on the harness (sorry buddy!). But after that little scare we made it down the hill just fine! Me & Libby fell once getting off the lift, but the lift operator stopped it and said, "You all right there princess?" and helped her up. Next time will be even better now that we figured out how things work!

Getting dressed nice & warm! I love those boys!!
Zack the "ninja" Steve the "elf" (love the socks babe!) & Tyler as "Curious George"

I think Zack had as much fun on the big snow pile as he did skiing!

My little SNOW BUNNIES!

Steve & Libby getting off the lift. They had a much smoother landing compared to when I took her on the next run! But we did have fun!!

Tyler bundles up for the snow!

This is our cute Polar Bear! We bundled him up to help Zack ski in the backyard & I thought he looked so cute! The sad part is he wants to do whatever Zack is doing. We just have to work on the walking thing, but then I think we'll have real trouble on our hands!!

My funny Zack- a-Boo

Zack located his skis from the closet in the basement and keeps them on in the house & walks around "practicing". Well this morning after it snowed he told me he would try it out in the back yard. We had some fun & he gave me a few laughs!

We took the kids skiing 2 years ago and they loved it, but Steve was too sick last year so Zack would "ski" around the house. It was hard for Steve to watch & not be able to go with him. I'm sure they will being going soon this year!

First activity after waking up, putting on his skis....with his little shadow not far behind!

Libby Loses Another Tooth!

Libby comes down last night after she should of been asleep & tells me her tooth was hurting, so I took a look & it was about to fall out. It took a little more prying, but we finally got it out. This is her 7th tooth to fall out! She was cute when we put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy to come she said, Mom say " I hope the tooth fairy will come!" So I did & she was off to sleep. Here is a picture with her missing tooth!

I didn't have to wake her up this morning either she came running in & told us the tooth fairy had come last night!

My cute boys

Zack and Tyler were given matching shirts from their Grandma & Aunt Shelly. I thought they looked so cute together I had to share a few pictures.

It is getting to be fun as Tyler gets a little bigger & watching them together. In the morning when Zack gets up he'll sometimes start playing with his train set and once Tyler hears the train going he starts crawling in there pulls himself up to standing position & jabbers & yells as he starts grabbing at the track! I think it is cute, even though Zack can get a little annoyed. Zack definitely enjoys giving Tyler attention, it may be rough at times but he does love his brother!

Highlights of 2007

What a year!!
  • January of 2007 was a rough start with Steve having his colon removed after struggling with colitis since coming home from Iraq. It was a little scary! He was supposed to be in the hospital 3-5 days, it turned into 10. Let's just say morphine & percaset were not Steve's best friend.
  • April 4 th at 4:44am came the arrival of our Tyler Max "Lightning McQueen" Peterson! He weighed 8lbs. 9 ounces and was 20 inches long. Libby gave him his middle name & of course Zack gave him his 2nd middle name. When he said it we laughed and he said, "I'm serious mom!" We love it!
  • Tyler was only 2 weeks old when Steve went in for his second surgery to have his ileostomy bag removed. Yeah! Steve had a rough day or so, but this surgery went much better.
  • Grandma Giles passed away during this last surgery and her funeral was the same day Steve came home from the hospital. We miss you Grandma!
  • This summer was fun because Libby & Zack both learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels! One of our favorite activities this summer was going on bike rides at the park and then stopping at The Snow Shack for a treat!
  • Liberty started First Grade this August! This was a little harder for me & Zack than Kindergarten because now she's gone all day!
  • In October we were able to take a vacation to Florida. We had a lot of fun at Walt Disney World! We also drove to the beach one day. This was the first time for the kids to see the ocean! It was beautiful and fun to play in the waves.
  • This year ended with a really nice holiday season. It was one of those years I didn't want it to end....It was wonderful! We were so blessed this year to have such wonderful family and friends that were SO helpful and kind with all of our stress at the beginning of the year. THANK YOU & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
